Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek is set for a move to Manchester United. Mirror Sport understands the Red Devils have won the race to land the Dutchman, 23, after a late attempt from Tottenham to hijack the deal.
He will arrive in a £40million deal in the coming days after being impressed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s determination to sign him.
After deciding his future lies at Old Trafford, Van de Beek will now face another big choice when he arrives to put pen to paper on a five-year deal with an option of an extra 12 months.
Van de Beek arrives at Manchester United with the No.6 shirt he has worn at Ajax unavailable as it currently belongs to Paul Pogba.
