Donald Trump has refused to disavow the bizarre QAnon conspiracy theory, which claims he is saving the world from a satanic child abuse cult operating at the heart of government.

The President has been asked about the conspiracy, which is popular among Trump supporters, before - but he claimed he didn't know anything about it.

Tonight, during a town hall event broadcast by NBC News, the President was told about the weird theory - and invited to disavow it.

The President said: "So, I know nothing about QAnon. You told me but what you told me doesn't necessarily make it fact. I hate to say that. "I know nothing about it, but I do know they are very much against paedophilia, fight it very hard.
