Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan.
The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. Forbes estimates his net worth to be $3.1 billion.
Former President Donald Trump appeared to be opening the door again to a debate with Vice President Kamala Harris that is not sponsored by Fox News.
Over the weekend, Trump floated a Sept. 4 debate on Fox News, and claimed that a previously scheduled Sept. 10 ABC News event had been “terminated.” But that was interpreted as Trump backing out of the latter, as Harris’ campaign claimed that he was “running scared” and “running straight to Fox News to bail him out.” On Fox and Friends this morning, Trump suggested that something was in the works, albeit he hinted that it would not be on the network. “We’ll be debating her in the pretty near future.
It’s going to be announced fairly soon,” Trump said. “I would like to see it on Fox, by the way. I would like to see it, my preference, would be Fox, but we have to debate.” Host Steve Doocy asked Trump if he has been working on something behind the scenes “because we haven’t heard about it yet.” “No, but I can tell you that every network loves me very much right now.
They love me very much. I have never been so loved by CBS and ABC fake news. And by NBC. They are all in love with me so that I say yes because it is up to me, obviously, also.
