Dog walker found dead just hours after 'attack by gang of schoolchildren'

A dog walker was reportedly found dead by his mum just hours after he was allegedly attacked by three schoolchildren. John Hackett was pronounced dead at a property, believed to be his mum's, in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, on Wednesday morning.

John was allegedly assaulted at roughly 6.15pm on Tuesday at the Snowhill Recreation Ground, according to Warwickshire Police.

He was found dead just hours later on Wednesday morning.It is understood that the 36-year-old was his mum's carer, the Mirror reports.

A 15-year-old girl and two boys, also aged 15, have since been arrested by police on suspicion of murder. All three remain in custodyHis next of kin has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers.
