Los Angeles Clippers coach Doc Rivers was asked Tuesday night about the recent police shooting of Jacob Blake, a Kenosha, Wisconsin Black man shot multiple times in the back Sunday.
Rivers did not hold back, with his powerful raw speech still rippling through social media on Wednesday morning. "It's amazing why we keep loving this country, and this country does not love us back," said a sad and frustrated Rivers. "It's really so sad.
Like, I should just be a coach. I'm so often reminded of my color. It's just really sad. We got to do better. But we got to demand better." There have been nightly protests inKenosha following the Blake shooting.
