Orange County teeters between the state’s “red” and less severe “orange” tiers in terms of COVID-19 case rates per 100,000 people and positive test rates, respectively.
Currently, Orange County’s positive test rate sits at 3.2%, with an average of 6 new cases per 100,000 residents. However, it borders some of the state’s worst-hit areas, including Los Angeles.
