Discovery of dog's body could be linked to organised dog fighting

A dog walker found the dog's body at around 7.30am last Friday on land leading to Farm Lodge Reservoir in Radcliffe.It's understood the discovery was made near a row of trees.The path is accessed off Far Hey Close.In a statement, the London-based charity said: "Animal Protection Services is currently investigating an incident where a dog walker found a deceased dog near Farm Lodge Reservoir in Radcliffe. "We are aware of a number of similar incidents in the past few months and there are suspicions that it may be linked to a deliberate mutilation, or linked to dog fighting.""We are appealing for any witnesses, who have seen anything relating to.
