Diners evacuated as fire breaks out at Gino D'Acampo's Alderley Edge restaurant

Diners at Gino D’Acampo’s Italian restaurant - Luciano in Alderley Edge - were evacuated after a fire broke out. Crews from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the Wilmslow Road eatery at 6.21pm this evening (Saturday).

The restaurant was cleared of guests after the blaze - in the ceiling void of the ground floor - broke out, a spokesperson for the fire service told the Manchester Evening News .

Four fire engines were in attendance, with police also present. Crews from Wilmslow, Macclesfield and Greater Manchester were deployed. The fire is in the roof space. Currently, we have one engine from Wilmslow, and one from Macclesfield, “Two firefighters are wearing breathing apparatus, with one hose reel used.
