Dillian Whyte ’s brother and manager Dean Whyte claims drug-shamed American Jarrell Miller was set to receive double the figure they were offered to face unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua last year.
Joshua and Whyte’s heated rivalry stretches all the way back to their days in the amateurs, with the latter coming out on top when they first met in 2009.
Six years later, though, AJ would avenge that defeat by knocking Whyte out in the professional ranks - surviving a major scare to wipe his arch-nemesis out with a brutal seventh-round uppercut at the O2 Arena.
Whyte has long called for a rematch and was offered one by Eddie Hearn, who also promotes Joshua, back in April of last year.
