Kate Middleton is in hot water with some royal experts who say that she broke royal protocol by painting her nails bright red.
The 41-year-old Princess of Wales joined the royal family to celebrate the Easter holiday at St George’s Chapel on Sunday (April 9) at Windsor Castle in Windsor, England, marking their first Easter without Queen Elizabeth II.
This is reportedly the first time that Kate has been seen with bright red nail polish since she married Prince William in 2011. Keep reading to find out more… A royal etiquette expert told Page Six, “There never have been any strict rules on nail polish, but it was known that Queen Elizabeth — like many of her generation — did not like colored nail polish.” The same expert previously told The Sun back in 2022, “It needs to be skin coloured so hot red and bright pink, for example, are not correct, especially for official occasions and particularly during mourning.
So it’s either translucent or dusky pink – so that would basically be the colour of your nails so it looks natural.” Do you think she broke protocol?
