The headteacher of a primary school in Bolton that has been left devastated by a huge fire has described her 'heartbreak' following the blaze.
The fire ripped through SS Simon and Jude CE Primary School in Great Lever on Thursday (August 17) morning, with huge plumes of thick, black smoke billowing for miles around.
At the height of the blaze, 17 fire engines were tackling the flames and smoke as police cordoned off several streets in the local area.
The fire reportedly started in the roof of the school with much of the building, including 10 classrooms, now left 'completely destroyed'.
