The devastated friend of murdered Claire Inglis is taking on a gruelling 16-day Munro challenge in memory of the young mum.Viv Fairweather, 34, from Stirling, will tackle 16 munros in a tribute to Claire who was brutally killed by her boyfriend Christopher McGowan in November 2021.Convicted domestic abuser McGowan, who had been bailed to her home, left Claire with more than 76 injuries.

He was jailed for a minimum of 23 years in October last year. Viv became friends with Claire when they worked in a nursery together more than 10 years ago. "Claire's death should never have happened.

She should never have been put in a position where a dangerous violent criminal was bailed to her home," she told the Record."Claire should have been better protected by the system."When I heard what happened, I was in complete and utter disbelief.
