After releasing in theaters over the summer on July 3, the four-quel made $360.8 million domestically and $593.3 million internationally for a worldwide total of $954.1 million.
The entire “Despicable Me” series became the first animated franchise to cross $5 billion at the global box office. All four movies, plus the “Minions” spinoffs, are available to stream on Peacock.
The cast includes Steve Carell as the lovable supervillain Gru, Kristen Wiig as Gru’s wife Lucy Wilde, Pierre Coffin as the voice of Gru’s hyperactive minions, Joey King, Miranda Cosgrove, Stephen Colbert, Sofía Vergara, Dana Gaier, Will Ferrell and more.
