Derry Girls finale hailed for 'iconic' cameo as Channel 4 hit bows out
ok.co.ukThe third season of Derry Girls has welcomed a few famous faces, including Liam Neeson and a Peaky Blinders star, but there was a surprising cameo in the last few minutes of Wednesday night's hour-long special.
The end of the episode skipped ahead to the present day in New York as a mailman walked up to an apartment to deliver a lost letter from the 1990s that Orla (Louisa Harland) and Erin (Saoirse-Monica Jackson) had sent.
As the door opens, the letter is handed to activist and writer Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of former President of the United States Bill Clinton and Hilary Clinton.
Chelsea’s appearance harked back to The President episode in season two when the girls wrote to Chelsea in 1995 ahead of her visit to Northern Ireland with her parents.
