"Depraved" Dumfries man who filmed a woman being raped jailed for 10 years

A violent domestic brute who tortured a woman and filmed her while she was being raped by him and other men has been jailed for 10 years.

Kris Clark also forced a second woman to undergo being raped by a stranger after arranging for the man to come to his home to have sex with her while he watched.

A judge said Clark, 37, from Dumfries, had been “lost in a world of sexual deviance” and had “clearly lost all human decency” as he pursued his highly disturbing course of criminal behaviour.

Lord Arthurson told Clark: “You abused, sexually coerced and used sexual violence towards your victims over a prolonged period. “The damage inflicted by you upon them by your abhorrent criminal conduct will undoubtedly be long-lasting and potentially incalculable in its nature.” Clark appeared for sentence on Friday after earlier being convicted at Edinburgh High Court of a terrifying 10-year campaign of serious physical and sexual abuse against three female victims.
