Denise Van Outen's ex says he's 'deeply sorry' for sexting women behind her back

Denise Van Outen’s ex Eddie Boxshall has said that he is "deeply sorry" following on from their heartbreaking split earlier this year.The 49-year-old former Gogglebox star, who has now been replaced on the show, has spoken out for the first time since splitting from Denise, 47.

After being together for seven years, Denise found out that Eddie had sent more than 20 messages and photos from his iPad to other women – behind her back.

Following Denise finding out about Eddie's antics, she threw him out and said that she no longer wanted him in her life.Now speaking to The Sun, Eddie has recalled the day, saying: "As I left, I knew it was going to be the last time I would ever see her.

I was absolutely gutted. "I hurt ­Denise, I broke her trust and I’m deeply sorry...I deeply regret that I sent those messages."Later on, in the interview he continued: "I’ve sent her untold messages on text, on email, saying that I love her and that I’m sorry for what I’ve done - that I’m embarrassed and I’m ashamed."Denise and Eddie started dating back in 2014 and soon went on to become a power couple, appearing on Gogglebox a number of times.The loved-up pair fast became a huge hit with viewers of the Channel 4 reality programme.It was earlier this year on January 7, 2022, that the news of the couple's split broke, with Denise confirming the break up on social media.She did so by sharing a sombre black and white snap of herself walking her dogs on the beach.Alongside the snap, Denise penned: "Over the past couple of months, there has been much speculation regarding my relationship with Eddie."It saddens me to confirm that we are no longer a couple.
