Om Friday (Sept. 13), the 32-year-old entertainer dropped the song “You’ll Be OK, Kid,” the original song from her upcoming Child Star documentary. “The sharks in the water will teach you to swim / The thorns on the roses will thicken your skin / People might hurt you and break promises,” Demi sings. “But, darlin’, I promise you this / You’ll be okay, kid / You’ll be okay, kid, mm.” In a statement, Demi opened up about writing the song while working on the documentary, which she co-directed with Nicola Marsh.
