Danny John-Jules, known for his role as Dwayne Myers in Death in Paradise, has expressed heartfelt admiration for his on-screen father, Ram John Holder, as they make a comeback to the beloved BBC series.
The pair are set to reappear in the show's festive special, scheduled to broadcast on December 22. Fans last saw Danny's character, Dwayne, in the concluding episode of the most recent season, which also marked the departure of characters Neville Parker (played by Ralf Little) and Florence Cassell (portrayed by Josephine Jobert), with Dwayne bidding them farewell as they embarked on a new journey together.
Nelson, Dwayne's father, has been absent from the series for a considerable period after the two left to travel the world. Yet, given Dwayne's previous admission of his father's ill health, there's speculation about the duration of Nelson's return.
Discussing his return for the Christmas special, Danny remarked: "It's pretty much like walking out your front door for me." He reminisced about his long history with the show, saying, "I first went there fourteen years ago, and I filmed seven series.
