Meghan Markle following her comments about her time on the show.The Duchess of Sussex was once a briefcase model on the US game show in 2006.The Canadian comedian, who hosted the show until 2019, addressed Meghan's comments in a new interview with US Weekly.It came after the actress admitted why she stopped working as a model for the show.“I didn’t like feeling forced to be all looks and little substance,” Meghan said.“And that’s how it felt for me at the time being reduced to this specific archetype: the word bimbo.”Howie expressed sympathies with Meghan, explaining he didn't fully enjoy hosting the show either.He said he felt like he was only there to tell women to “open up cases”.“I felt like nothing,” he told the publication.“And that’s why I’ve moved on and become a judge on America’s Got Talent. "I just needed more than to be a Deal or No Deal host.”The host then praised Meghan for "speaking her mind" and justified her comments.He also noted that he didn’t think that she was “maligning” the show, before describing some of the responsibilities that the models had on it.“Unlike most shows up until that point, the ladies had more to do,” the Little Monsters star continued.

He concluded by arguing that Meghan wasn't "complaining" about her time on the show.Howie said she was merely trying to explain how she didn't feel fulfilled.It comes after Prince Harry's wife received a lot of criticism, not least from former co-star Claudia Jordan.
