Davina McCall has described the "weirdest thing ever" in discovering she had a rare brain tumour as she shares more details amid her surgery recovery.
Davina confirmed the shock health news on social media last Friday (November 15) in a social media post. The 57-year-old said in a video: "A few months ago, I did a menopause talk for a company and they offered me a health scan in return, which I thought I was gonna ace.
But it turned out I had a benign brain tumour called a colloid cyst which is very rare. Three in a million. So I slightly put my head in the sand." The Long Lost Family host and Masked Singer judge explained how she sought opinions from neurosurgeons and after getting their advice, decided the best course of action was to get the tumour removed and she went under the knife for a craniotomy at the end of last week. She described the moment as being "the weirdest thing ever". She went on: "He pointed it out to me that it [the tumour] is right in the middle of my brain." Davina explained how colloid cysts are very rare, saying three people in a million get them.
