Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

David Marshall free to join Celtic as Wigan plunge into administration

David Marshall has been boosted after crisis-hit Wigan Athletic plunged into administration.It's understood the 35-year-old is high on former teammate Neil Lennon 's wishlist as the Hoops boss seeks reinforcements between the sticks with further talks with Joe Hart also scheduled.Celtic have already lost veteran Craig Gordon and Record Sport revealed on Wednesday that any deal for Fraser Forster is now dead in the water.Marshall has one year remaining on his contract with the Latics but his future is very much in the air with Wigan poised for some major decisions among their playing staff after the shock announcement.The Championship side are poised for showdown talks and a fire sale could well commence with former Rangers pair Josh Windass.
