David Livingstone Birthplace Museum to host first 'Youth Open 'Day

The David Livingstone Birthplace in Blantyre will host its first ‘Beats and Blocks’ Youth Open Day this month.Taking place on Friday, July 22 the event will welcome young adults between the age of 12 to 25 to the museum.The day will be dedicated to celebrating the museums vibrant young adult audience.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

The day will also feature a block printing art workshop, table tennis, food and refreshments, a DJ set from Jambo! Radio and a short presentation from members of the museum’s learning and engagement team.

Grant Mackenzie, director at the attraction, told Lanarkshire Live : “We are very excited to welcome young adults to the museum for our first Youth Open Day.
