David Robert Joseph Beckham OBE (born 2 May 1975) is an English former professional footballer, the current president of Inter Miami CF and co-owner of Salford City. He played for Manchester United, Preston North End, Real Madrid, Milan, LA Galaxy, Paris Saint-Germain and the England national team, for which he held the appearance record for an outfield player until 2016. He is the first English player to win league titles in four countries: England, Spain, the United States and France. He retired in May 2013 after a 20-year career, during which he won 19 major trophies.

David Beckham 'seemed lost in his own thoughts' says mourner as star wipes tears at coffin

David Beckham's emotional and humble appearance at Westminster Hall to honour the Queen has been a talking point on social media today, as many praised how lowkey he was for the historic moment.The 47-year-old began queuing at 2am amongst other mourners and waited almost 13 hours to see the coffin.While waiting, those amongst him said he was friendly with others who were also waiting to pay their respects.

Danielle Lewis, 49, who was behind David in the queue, said of his appearance: “We only noticed him around 12pm."He was quite solemn."He was stopping for pictures with people but he didn’t really say anything - he seemed lost in his own thoughts.
