Sports icon David Beckham has walked away from fashion line Kent & Curwen after the company reported £18million in losses.The former football star cut ties with the fashion label after reportedly being paid a seven-figure amount to be a business partner.
David, 44, was said to have been brought onboard to help boost the business back in 2015, but the Beckham effect didn’t help.
An insider told The Sun: “He actually parted company with the business at the end of last year. But contractual negotiations are still ongoing.” The huge financial loss forced the brand owner, TBUK, to axe nearly a third of their staff last year in order to cut salary costs by £1.8million.
