A 25-year-old man has denied murdering Tory MP Sir David Amess in an alleged terrorist attack at a surgery for constituents.
Ali Harbi Ali appeared at The Old Bailey on Tuesday, December 21, in connection with the 69-year-old Conservative MP’s death where he pleaded not guilty.
All is accused of preparing acts of terrorism between May 1, 2019 and September 28 this year which he also denies. He was arrested following the fatal attack on Sir David, who had been an MP since 1983.
The politician died as a result of his injuries after being stabbed multiple times in a church at Leigh-on-Sea in Essex on October 15.
