Daryl Powell is the new head coach of Warrington Wolves. Rugby League Live can reveal the Castleford Tigers head coach has agreed to join the Wire for the 2022 season and beyond.
The 55-year-old overcame a rigorous selection process to secure the role, just three weeks since confirming he would leave the Tigers at the end of the year.
He will take the place of Steve Price, the current Wolves coach who has also confirmed he will leave the club at the end of the current campaign.
The news is expected to be confirmed by both clubs later today. People at both clubs were informed today. Powell has delivered unrivalled success at Castleford since joining the club in 2013.
