While Danny Dyer is now best remembered as Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter, he had a long acting career before setting foot in Albert Square – and it wasn’t all cheesy gangster movies.The role of Mick gave his career a shot in the arm and turned Danny into a national treasure in many people’s eyes.
Since leaving in 2022, he taken on new roles including Sky Comedy Mr Bigstuff and an upcoming screen adaptation of Jilly Cooper’s racy novel Rivals.
But given his long acting pedigree, it’s not surprising he’s not struggled for work. In fact, fans are aghast at just how young Danny was when he started on TV.The actor first hit our screens in Helen Mirren’s classic crime drama Prime Suspect when he was just 16 in 1993.
It was a glimpse of his Prime Suspect role as Martin Fletcher that recently reminded people just how long the star has been on our screen.
