It looks like Netflix is riding the Bridgerton popularity wave as the streaming giant is set to adapt a Jane Austen classic.

Unfortunately, if you were looking for an old fashioned period piece, then you may be let down. It’s been reported that Netflix is set to give Jane Austen’s Persuasion a modern facelift.

Although we’re not sure if that means it will be given the bright and brilliant 2020 Emma treatment—or if it will simply be set in the 21st century.

We’re hoping for the former. Dakota Johnson, who rose to fame in the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise, has already been confirmed to star in the series.
