Daisy Ridley Returns For New 'Star Wars' Movie
justjared.comDaisy Ridley is back as Rey! The 30-year-old actress was confirmed for a new Star Wars movie at this year’s Star Wars Celebration in London by LucasFilm president Kathleen Kennedy.
Three films were confirmed to be in the works including one coming from The Mandalorian executive producer Dave Filoni and another from James Mangold. Daisy was last seen in 2019′s Rise of Skywalker.
The movie that Daisy will star in will be led by director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and will pick up 15 years after The Rise Of Skywalker ended.
Her focus will be rebuilding the Jedi Order. “I’ve always been attracted to the hero’s journey and the fact that the world needs many more heroes,” said Sharmeen on stage, per IGN. “My heart is pounding,” Daisy said. “I’m very thrilled to be continuing this journey.” In January, Emilia Clarke and Daisy Ridley answered questions from fans – if they’d return to Star Wars.
