A tragic dad who died after being exposed to a 'cleaning' chemical at home has been pictured for the first time as tributes roll in.
Darren Aspinall, 57, who ran a cleaning company, suffered a cardiac arrest and was declared dead at the address on Douglas Avenue in Billinge, near Wigan, on Saturday morning.
Emergency services rushed there after reports of a casualty being affected by exposure to Xylene. Xylene has various uses, including as a cleaning agent and a thinner for paint and varnishes. The service was called by Merseyside Police and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service. Short-term exposure to Xylene can irritate the eyes, nose and throat and affect the brain.
