Dad's heartbreaking last words to partner who woke up and found him dead in bed

A heartbroken mum woke to find her partner dead next to her in bed just hours after he spoke his last words, telling her "I love you".

Amelia Louise Townson, 29, said those words from Damien Jones, 30, will stay with her "forever", and she has been left so traumatised that she doesn't feel like getting out of bed in the morning.

After going to sleep as normal, Amelia turned over to see Damien "blue in the face" and desperately carried out CPR on the morning of May 11.

Their children - David-Lloyd, five, and Esme-Rose, three - watched in horror as Amelia tried to save Damien in the couple's bedroom.
