A three-year-old boy was murdered by his suicidal dad, who put up signs around his home claiming he had rigged up explosives to stop police entering.
Tragic Grayson DeWitt was killed by dad Jason Douglas DeWitt, who then took his own life, at a home in Bel Air, Maryland. Before his death, DeWitt had delivered a box to a friend for "safekeeping", police said.
When the pal opened it, the contents revealed that he was suicidal, and he called police on Thursday - but by that time it is thought the father and son were already dead.
Officers arrived at the scene to find a handwritten note warning that a device would detonate if they attempted to enter, prompting officers to evacuate neighbouring homes.
