A dad lost 11 stone in less than a year after fearing he'd get stuck in a plane seat when he followed his dream to hike the Grand Canyon.Daniel Morris, who was a student at the time, wanted to visit the USA after finishing his studies, but feared his weight would hold him back.
At his heaviest, Daniel weighed in at 26st 10lbs. He said he would sweat profusely and struggled with simple, everyday tasks.Speaking about his weight, Daniel said: “Obviously, I felt terrible most of the time.
I was out of breath walking upstairs, always panicking about visibly sweating when walking into college or school, and even worried if I could fit into classroom seats, reports Gloucestershire Live. “Then, of course, there was the mental aspect of it.
I was often anxious and depressed. Any time I went somewhere new, I noticed people treating me differently – it was almost as if they felt they had to tiptoe around me or avoid me altogether. “But I’d been a larger person for so long, that I felt it had become an unchangeable part of who I was.” In his final year at Birmingham University in 2015, Daniel decided it was time to make a change.“I was due to travel across America after I completed my degree, and this became a huge inspiration for losing weight.
