Dad dies after irritable bowel syndrome turned out to be cancer

Michael Moriarty, 37 was initially dismissed by doctors after he noticed blood in his stool when he was going to the toilet, the Liverpool ECHO reports.In March 2020, Michael who lived with his wife Lyndsey and their two girls, Libby and Phoebe started struggling with pain while working night shifts as a cleaner.
The father-of-two from Walton was told he had irritable bowel syndrome and had his initial concerns dismissed as haemorrhoids before he finally managed to get a CT scan.
On Christmas Eve 2020, doctors discovered the tumours and delivered the heartbreaking news to the family. The Everton FC fan who was desperate to fight for his young children was told he had around two years left to live and started a series of gruelling radiotherapy and chemotherapy bouts.
