A father has died tragically after he suddenly stopped breathing whilst getting a scale and polish at his dentist. Roy Robinson, a dad-of-three, was attending a scheduled appointment in the morning of January 10 when he became lifeless in the treatment chair.
The 48-year-old was rushed to hospital in an ambulance after dental staff noticed his state and was later confirmed to have suffered from a bleed on his brain.
After being transferred to a specialist hospital for treatment, Roy was pronounced brain dead by doctors who had been working to save him for two days.
Family members were called to his bedside by consultants and this week Roy’s older brother Kevin paid tribute to the ‘cheeky chappy.’ Kevin Crompton, 51, said: “You just never know, one minute you’re here and the next you are gone.
