Rangers hero Billy Dodds admits his gut feeling tells him Cyriel Dessers will leave the club this month - but reckons Ibrox bosses will be able to command a sizeable fee for the Nigerian frontman. The emergence of summer signing Hamza Igamane has seen No.9 Dessers fall down the pecking order in Philippe Clement's side, with Brazilian forward Danilo also ahead of the former Feyenoord striker.
Clement has admitted that the 30-year-old could be moved on before the January window slams shut, but insists he would also need to be replaced.Despite his well-documented misses in front of goal, Dessers' hat trick in Sunday's 5-0 drubbing of Fraserburgh in the Scottish Cup has taken his tally for the season so far to 16 strikes in 33 games and Rangers favourite Dodds believes that clubs around Europe will be willing to take a gamble on him this month.
The Dutch-born attacker has already been linked with Empoli and Cagliarli in Italy's top-flight.Speaking on the GO Radio Football Show, Dodds said: "There are some players who have left in months gone by that Rangers don't feel they got the right transfer fee for.
He is one that can get you a bit of proper money, just by being a striker because people are desperate in this window to get someone who can score goals."It's as if he (Dessers) is relaxed now because he knows Igamane and Danilo are in front of them but will try and score a few goals and get his move.
