Robbie Savage has floated a return for Steven Gerrard to Rangers to solve the current crisis at Ibrox. It comes with Celtic hero Chris Sutton admitting Philippe Clement is facing massive pressure after crashing out of the Scottish Cup at the hands of second tier Queen's Park.

However, his spell at Al-Ettifaq came to an abrupt end earlier this year with the club facing a relegation scrap. After being shown the door by Ettifaq, Light Blues hero McCoist predicted that Gerrard would make a return to the club where he famously won the Premiership title back in 2021.
He said: "It wouldn't surprise me if Steven Gerrard came back to Ibrox. "He's obviously held in really high regard by the supporters because of the league title he won, and his next job is going to be vitally important for him.
