David Proctor hopes his Cumbernauld Colts side can use their unbeaten start to the Lowland League as a springboard for a successful season.And the Broadwood boss reckons few would have predicted their strong start to the campaign, which has delivered two wins and a draw and zero goals conceded.Colts backed up their 1-0 win over Celtic B on the opening day, with a 3-0 win over Stirling Uni last midweek and a 0-0 draw at Berwick Rangers on Saturday.It has Colts fourth in the standings and two points off unblemished leaders Bo’ness United.And Proctor said: “On paper, not many folk would have predicted we would go three games unbeaten without conceding a goal and winning two of those.“It is certainly a great start for us and we need to use it as a springboard for the rest of the season.

It should give the boys a bit of belief that they can go and make an impression this season.“We’ve kept a lot of the same squad from last season and added two or three, so I have complete faith in this group to kick on.“This time last season we hadn’t picked up any points.
