A 'lovely' teenage girl who was stabbed to death outside a shopping centre in Croydon has been pictured as her 'devastated' family paid tribute to her.
The 15-year-old, who has been named locally as Eliyanna Andam, died after being stabbed in the neck with a foot-long knife during the Wednesday morning rush hour, a witness said.
A 17-year-old boy, who knew the victim, was arrested just over an hour after the attack which took place on busy Wellesley Road at around 8.30am.
He remains in custody today (Thursday) being questioned on suspicion of murder. Eliyanna was a student at the Old Palace of John Whitgift School, an independent girls' school in Croydon, the Mirror reports.
