BBC staff have issued a statement following the news of 5 Live presenter John Hunt's family, as his wife and daughter's are believed to be victims of a triple crossbow murder, which they described "utterly devastating." The organisation said they would provide the racing commentator with “all the support we can” following the deaths of his wife and two daughters, 25 and 28.The note to BBC 5 Live staff read: “The news today about John Hunt’s family is utterly devastating.
Our thoughts are with John and his family at this incredibly difficult time and we will provide him with all the support we can.” A manhunt has since been launched for 26 year old Kyle Clifford, following the attack that took place in Ashlyn Close Tuesday evening (9 July).
Armed police are said to have searched a home in Rendlesham Road, Enfield, on Wednesday morning as the hunt continued.The public have been warned not to approach Clifford, who is believed to be armed.
In a press conference on Wednesday, Chief Superintendent Jon Simpson from Hertfordshire Police told reporters the deaths are believed to be “targeted”.
