Cristiano Ronaldo has accepted his charge from the Football Association, contrary to what Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag initially said.
Ronaldo was charged with alleged improper conduct by the FA in relation to an incident at Everton on April 9 when he smashed a young fan's phone.
The 37-year-old had until Monday to respond to the charge and when asked what Ronaldo's response had been on Wednesday afternoon, Ten Hag replied: "We spoke about that.
He will not accept it." Also read: Why Maguire was in the dressing room at Everton However, it is understood Ronaldo has accepted the charge and that Ten Hag's reply was uttered amid the prospect of a multiple-match ban for Ronaldo.
