Councillors have unanimously agreed to award planning permission for a 100-unit social housing development in Coatbridge.North Lanarkshire Council's planning committee backed the local authority's proposals to increase housing stock for tenants with the mixed development, comprised of two-storey houses, bungalows, cottage flats and flats, at Dunottar Avenue in Shawhead.The site is currently occupied by former council housing which is being demolished to make way for the new buildings.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
