It comes just weeks after business owners in nearby Well Street successfully lobbied the council to backtrack on the barriers.The fed-up traders claimed the barricades were destroying their already struggling trade as well as causing issues such as parking and pedestrian safety.Following a full council meeting, council chiefs will now investigate the consultation process which was carried out ahead of the barriers being installed.Traders have maintained that no consultation took place ahead of the work being carried out, with many claiming they had no idea what the barriers were until after they were installed.
