But Ryan still hasn’t popped the question, even though Lucy’s made no secret of her desire to marry him. Now she’s hoping he’ll surprise her with a diamond ring. “He hasn’t proposed yet, I’m still waiting,” sighs Lucy. “I have dropped subtle hints but I don’t want him to feel the pressure.
I want to be taken aback. And I want to be completely surprised.” Lucy’s so determined to get her surprise, she’s put the issue to the back of her mind. “I don’t want to talk about it all the time and have a sense that he’s going to do it,” she says. “I’m just not going to mention it again, ever, to him.
So then I’m totally taken by surprise and I can go, ‘Oooooh... I was not expecting that!’ Whatever he does will be the right thing.
