Coronation Street actor Colson Smith has reportedly signed up to new ITV sporting show The Games, following his ten-stone weight loss. The star, who plays Weatherfield’s Craig Tinker, is thought to have joined the star-studded line-up for the series, which will put famous faces through their paces in a series of Olympic style challenges.
According to The Sun, the 23 year old soap star is keen to take part as he’s “worked so hard to get fit” and felt like he “couldn’t turn them down.” The actor, who joined the ITV soap back in August 2011 and has since had a body transformation, is also said to be hoping to push himself further outside of his comfort zone.
