Viewers of the ITV soap saw Nick and ex Natasha Blakeman reunited with their son Sam after he was snatched by one of Harvey's men as they try to get to Leanne Battersby and Simon Barlow.
Fans were confused when Sam, who started the show still stuck in the van he was whisked away in, suddenly appeared safe and well in hospital.
