Coronavirus: Hollyoaks cameraman Felix Schroer dies after fearing he had bug

A camerman who worked on Gladiator and Hollyoaks has died after fearing he had coronavirus. Felix Schroer's sister Sylvia confirmed the news on Twitter, saying he had a cough and runny nose for two months but couldn't get tested.

It was reported yesterday that Hollyoaks bosses had halted filming after a senior staff member had died from the virus. Felix worked as the soap's Director of Photography.

His sister revealed how he was instructed to self-isolate after he visited the GP on Monday and was given antibiotics but sadly passed away on Friday.

Sylvia believes her brother died because of a lack of information over the deadly bug. She tweeted: "I lost my brother on Friday.
