US authorities have confirmed 21 people have tested positive for coronavirus on the Grand Princess Cruise ship stranded off the coast of California with Brits aboard.
The colossal ship is carrying 142 British citizens and is currently being held off the coast of San Francisco. US Vice President Mike Pence announced 21 had tested positive and the ship will be brought to a non-commercial port this weekend, with all passengers and crew set to be tested.
One test was inconclusive, Mr Pence said. It is not known whether any of those infected are the British passengers. Mr Pence said the passengers are believed to have been exposed during two different outings from the ship.
