There was joy in Weatherfield on Monday night (October 2) as Billy tied the knot with Paul Foreman in front of their nearest and dearest in the Bistro.
The couple have somewhat fast-tracked their plans to get married after Paul was given the devastating news that he has Motor Neurone Disease, a fatal, rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord.
Fans have been watching the emotional storyline unfold for weeks. And while there have already been difficult scenes, and more to come as Paul's deterioration with the disease, which currently has no cure, continues, the wedding proved just the tonic to lift everyone's spirits.
