Those who star in the long-running show were sharing their reactions as well as praise for co-star Peter Ash as he bowed out of the programme after six year.
Paul, who was first introduced to viewers as David Platt's cellmate before later making his way to Weatherfield to look for his twin Gemma Winter, was tragically diagnosed with MND in April 2023. In the episode, Paul was rushed to hospital as he struggled to breathe and later, after doctors informed his family there was nothing more they could do but make him comfortable, Paul took his last breath.
